About Us

El Nidaa transforms lives — one artisan at a time.

Welcome to Egyptian Foundation for Integrated Development - El Nidaa

Al Nidaa is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women in Upper Egypt through traditional craftsmanship, founded in 2016. Since our founding, we have worked hand in hand with women artisans to revive heritage crafts — from pottery and woodwork to brass, tapestry, and leather — transforming them into sustainable sources of income and pride. Through our programs, the women of Upper Egypt tell a story of resilience, culture, and hope.

Mission

We believe that true empowerment begins with opportunity. Our mission is to preserve Egypt’s artisanal heritage while providing women in rural communities with the tools, training, and access they need to thrive and flourish. Through design innovation, fair wages, and a deep respect for tradition, we help transform craftsmanship into lasting social and economic impact.

Vision

A society where women of Upper Egypt are recognized as artisans, entrepreneurs and changemakers — preserving Egypt’s cultural heritage while driving inclusive and sustainable development.

Our Objectives

The organization works to improve the social and economic conditions of rural communities through three main pillars:

  • Economic Empowerment: Providing vocational and craft training that enables women to generate sustainable income.
  • Social Empowerment: Promoting literacy, health awareness, and women’s participation in public life.
  • Cultural Empowerment: Supporting education, positive values, and social principles that foster women’s rights .

Women of El Nidaa

At the heart of Al Nidaa are the women themselves — talented, determined, and full of creativity and perseverance. In every one of our workshops, women artisans turn raw materials into works of art that carry the spirit of Upper Egypt. Our growing network of artisans continues to expand, creating a ripple effect of empowerment across generations.
